Careers
We hire engineers who put robots to work on real factory floors.
Shkoda Robotics is a deployment and service team for robot makers and Spanish plants. The job is on site: commission the robot, make it safe, connect it to the plant and keep it running.
Where we are today: founded in 2026, four engineers and the founder. First pilots are planned for the first quarter of 2027. No robots deployed yet. We are hiring the next people now.

We are in direct dialogue with robot makers, with no agents in between. The robot is chosen for the task, not for a brand.
The floor, not the slide deck
The work happens beside the conveyor and the dock door. What counts is a robot that completes the shift.
The Regulation as engineering
Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 applies from 20 January 2027. Here it is an engineering task: risk assessment, safety functions and the file for each installation.

Your first 90 days
- Learn the platform chosen for the first pilot until you can strip a fault down to its cause.
- Walk the first pilot sites and write the commissioning plan for each one.
- Prepare the site acceptance test and the operator training.
- Be ready to commission the first pilots, planned for the first quarter of 2027.
What you need
- Three or more years commissioning robots, mobile robots or automated machinery at customer sites.
- You read electrical schematics, know industrial networks and find faults without a helpline.
- You have written acceptance tests and handover documents that a plant signed.
- You travel across Spain most weeks and hold a driving licence.
A plus
- Humanoid, quadruped, AMR or cobot experience.
- PLC programming.
- ROS 2.
- You have trained operators and maintenance crews.

Your first 90 days
- Set our risk-assessment method for robot installations: ISO 12100, and ISO 10218 where it applies.
- Write the template of the installation-level file the Regulation asks for from 20 January 2027.
- Assess the first pilot sites together with the field engineer.
- Prepare the briefing for the plant's prevention service and works council.
What you need
- Four or more years in machinery safety: risk assessments, safety functions, technical files for CE marking.
- You work with ISO 13849-1 or IEC 62061 and can defend a performance level.
- You know Directive 2006/42/EC and what Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 changes.
- You know what Real Decreto 1215/1997 asks of work equipment in a Spanish plant.
- You write clearly in Spanish and in English.
A plus
- ISO 3691-4 for driverless trucks, ISO/TS 15066 for collaborative work.
- Experience with notified bodies.
- A functional safety certificate.
- Safety validation of mobile or legged robots.

Your first 90 days
- Map the interfaces of the first pilot platform: API, fleet manager, telemetry.
- Build the first connector between the robot and a plant system (WMS, MES or PLC) for a pilot site.
- Set up the telemetry and the daily uptime log we keep during a pilot.
- Write the network and security checklist we hand to plant IT.
What you need
- Four or more years of robotics or automation software on machines that left the lab.
- ROS 2, C++ and Python.
- Industrial communication: OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus or PROFINET.
- Linux, networking and containers.
- English at working level.
A plus
- VDA 5050 and fleet managers.
- PLC integration.
- Simulation.
- Spanish, for the days on site.

Your first 90 days
- Design first-line service: how a ticket comes in, response levels, escalation to the maker.
- Define the spare parts list for the first pilot platform.
- Build the downtime report: what stopped, for how long, what fixed it.
- Be the service contact for the first pilots.
What you need
- Five or more years in technical service for industrial machinery, robots or AGVs.
- Part of that time leading technicians or a service desk.
- You have planned spare parts and answered for uptime in front of a customer.
- Spanish and English, both at working level.
- You travel when a machine is down.

- You have set up a ticketing or maintenance system from zero.
- Service contracts and service levels.
- Experience escalating to makers in Asia.

Your first 90 days
- Visit first-wave sites with the founder and write the site sheet within 48 hours of each visit.
- Size each operation: cycle times, shifts, number of robots.
- Build the cost comparison per position for each site.
- Present it to plant directors, prevention officers and works councils.
What you need
- Four or more years in application engineering, technical sales or industrial engineering in plants or warehouses.
- You can measure an operation on the floor: times, flows, exceptions.
- Fluent Spanish. This one is required.
- English at working level.
- A driving licence.

- Catalan.
- Food, pharma, automotive or logistics background.
- You have sized AMR or intralogistics projects.

Ranges are fixed gross salary per year for a full-time contract in Spain. This page states the range, the place, the way of working and the languages. Everything else is agreed in writing with each offer.
Where the salary benchmarks come from
For each role we took two published 2026 references, at mid experience, and set the range so that its midpoint is 15 to 25 % above their median. Figures are fixed gross salary per year. Read on 11 October 2026.

How we hire
Three steps, about three weeks
We reply to every application within five working days.
A conversation with the founder
Forty-five minutes on a video call. What you have built, what we are building, and whether the role fits.
A task on a real operation
We give you one operation from our map, with the plant's name removed. You have a week. We expect about four hours of work.
A day with the team
At a site or at the Viladecans office, with the engineers you would work with. The answer comes within five working days.
Universities
Students and graduates
We take interns and host final-degree and master's projects on real operations from our map.
We hire graduates of engineering schools in Catalonia and the rest of Spain. The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) is the first school we call on.
We have no framework agreement with a university yet. Each internship is set up with the student's own school.
